The deal when you join a KOMPAI cohort

Last updated 4 November 2026

These terms apply when you create an account, apply for a cohort or pay for a seat. They are written to be read, not skimmed past.

Draft. This page is being reviewed before KOMPAI takes payments online. Questions about it? See Contact.

Who you are dealing with

KOMPAI is run by the business named on our Contact page (being confirmed). Contact details are on the Contact page.

What you are paying for

  • A seat in one live cohort of the programme you applied for, on the dates shown on its application page.
  • Access in this app to that cohort's class recordings and material for one year after your cohort ends.
  • Instructor review of the builds you submit during the cohort.

You get a portfolio of the work you build, not a certificate or a degree, and we don't promise a job.

Applying and paying

  • The fee for your cohort is shown on its application page before you pay.
  • You pay by UPI or bank transfer to the account shown there, then add your payment reference to your application.
  • Your seat is confirmed only when we have checked the payment. Until then it is not reserved.
  • GST: we are not registered for GST, so no GST is added to the fee and we can't issue a GST invoice.

Cancelling and refunds are covered by the refund policy.

Classes and schedule changes

Classes are live, online, on weekends. If we have to move a class we tell your cohort as early as we can, and the recording is added to the app after the class either way.

Your account

  • Your account is for you. Please don't share your sign-in, or download and pass on recordings or material.
  • Be respectful in classes and cohort groups. We can remove someone who harasses others or shares paid material, after telling them why.

Your work and ours

  • The code and apps you build are yours.
  • When instructors approve a build or verify your capstone, its title, links and write-up appear on your public portfolio page, with your name.
  • Recordings, slides and starter code are KOMPAI's. You can use them for your own learning and for the work you build.

If something goes wrong

We work hard to run every class as planned, but we can't promise the app or a live class will never be interrupted. If something goes wrong on our side, the most we owe you is the fee you paid for that cohort.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of our registered city (being confirmed).

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we update the date at the top. The terms you agreed to when you paid apply to that cohort.
