What we collect and why

Last updated 4 November 2026

Draft. This page is being reviewed before KOMPAI takes payments online. Questions about it? See Contact.

Who is responsible for your data

KOMPAI, run by the business named on our Contact page (being confirmed). You can reach our grievance officer, named on the Contact page, at the email on the Contact page. All our details are on the Contact page.

What we collect

  • Your name, email and a password (stored only as a one-way hash) for your account.
  • Your WhatsApp number, city, country, role and company or college, so we can reach you and plan the cohort.
  • Your answers about experience, tools and goals, so instructors can pitch the classes at the right level.
  • Payment references and any screenshot you upload, to confirm your seat. We never see or store card or bank login details.
  • Your progress: sessions watched, files opened, builds submitted and class attendance.
  • Security logs: when anyone visits the site, our server notes the IP address, browser, the page asked for and the time. We use these only to keep the site safe, for example to block repeated break-in attempts, and delete them after 30 days.

Where your data is stored

  • The website, its database and the files you upload (such as payment screenshots) are on Amazon Web Services servers in Sydney, Australia, with backup copies kept there too.
  • Class recordings are kept in our Google Drive (or on the site's own server in Sydney when uploaded there) and play only through this site, for learners with a seat.
  • When we start sending emails from the site, they go out through Resend, an email delivery service whose servers are outside India.

Your data is used only for the purposes on this page wherever it is stored.

How we use it

Only to run the course you applied for: confirming payment, giving you access, sending class reminders and reviewing your work. We don't sell it or share it with advertisers.

When instructors approve one of your builds or verify your capstone, your public portfolio page goes live with your name, your approved builds and your capstone. Until then nobody else can see it, and nothing else about you is public.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have access to the course (recordings stay open for one year after your cohort ends), and payment records for as long as tax law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time. Message your course admin in the cohort WhatsApp group, or write to the grievance officer above from the email you applied with.
